Chadsworth is known for its production of authentically correct replication columns
based on the rigorous architectural guidelines for columnar orders first laid down by the
Renaissance master architect, Giacomo da Vignola, in 1563. Our stain-grade columns
are hand sanded prior to shipping and arrive ready to finish. Our skilled craftsmen
choose the hardwoods much like an artist selects a color for a palette for its dramatic

COLUMN SHAFT
Plain, Tapered column shaft. The stain-grade cherry wood column shaft is
architecturally correct according to Vignola's classical column specifications.
Select from our wide array of column design shapes to match your architectural
style and project specifications. Wood materials are available in both solid
board and finger-joint form. Each column is made to your exact specifications.
CAPITAL, BASE MOLDING & PLINTH
CAPITAL: Design 100 stain-grade cherry wood columns are characterized
by a Tuscan Style capital. Stain-Grade wood capital. We are able to replicate
for historic restoration if you have as much as a quarter of the existing capital
including corner and any side design. Please contact a Chadsworth Sales
Consultant for additional capital information. BASE MOLDING: Design 100
stain-grade cherry wood columns have a Tuscan Base. Base materials follow the
same parameters as the capitals. PLINTH: We offer a variety of Plinth
materials, specific to your column sizes and interior or exterior applications.
