MATERIAL & MANUFACTURING PROCESS
Composed of high-density fiberglass and polyester resin material.
Each column shaft, capital & base molding / plinth is sanded and
primed. Custom molds can be created for unique specifications.
COLUMN SHAFT
Fiberglass column shaft mixed with polyester resin. Column shaft is
fluted and architecturally tapered (bottom third of the shaft is straight,
with the remaining 2/3 tapering to the neck). Paint grade column shaft
(includes gel coat). Shaft can be cut down to your desired overall
height by trimming the bottom of the shaft only with a circular saw
equipped with a masonry blade. Classic astragal (bead) molded onto shaft.
CAPITAL, BASE MOLDING & PLINTH
Tuscan capital, base molding & plinth included – made from fiberglass material.
Please also note that column components are designed to wrap around the
shaft as decorative sleeves – they do not add height. Please see below for
