Chadsworth is known for its production of authentically correct replication
columns based on the rigorous architectural guidelines for columnar orders
first laid down by the Renaissance master architect, Giacomo da Vignola, in
1563. Composed of stain-grade, solid-stave Cherry wood. Our stain-grade
columns are hand sanded prior to shipping and arrive ready to finish. Our
skilled craftsmen choose the hardwoods much like an artist selects a color
for a palette for its dramatic or subtle effect. Please contact a Chadsworth

COLUMN SHAFT
Composed of stain-grade, solid-stave Cherry wood. Fluted, Tapered column
shaft. It has an actual size column shaft, and each Cherry wood column is made
to your exact dimensional specifications. Also has a proper 1/3 - 2/3 taper (entasis).
CAPITAL, BASE MOLDING & PLINTH
CAPITAL: Design 101 stain-grade cherry wood columns are characterized
by a Tuscan Style capital. Stain-Grade wood capital. We are able to replicate
for historic restoration if you have as much as a quarter of the existing capital
including corner and any side design. Please contact a Chadsworth Sales
Consultant for additional capital information. BASE MOLDING: Design 101
stain-grade cherry wood columns have a Tuscan Base. Additional base styles
include: Roman Doric & Ionic (Attic). Base materials follow the same parameters
as the capitals. PLINTH: We offer a variety of Plinth materials, specific to
your column sizes and interior or exterior applications.
