MATERIAL & MANUFACTURING PROCESS
Western Red Cedar, Clear Heart Redwood, pine, poplar, & mahogany are just a few of the popular wood species utilized for our Architectural Wood Columns. If you desire another wood species, please inform us, and it will be our pleasure to accomodate. To ensure that our wood columns are of the highest quality, we process each order with individualized care and attention. First, the column's height and diameter are entered into our computer system which has been programmed to calculate the exact proportions necessary to produce your beautiful exterior wood columns and architectural interior wood columns.
COLUMN SHAFT
Fluted, Tapered column shaft. This Tuscan Style column has an actual size column shaft & consists of reeded flutes. The Reeded Column is unique because of its convex flutes. We use Western Red Cedar, Clear Heart Redwood, pine, poplar, mahogany, teak or any other wood species desired. Wood materials are available in both solid board & finger-joint form. Each column is made to your exact specifications. We recommend using either finger-joint redwood or cedar for interior columns that will be stained or left natural with a clear protective finish to display the grain of the wood.
