WHY FIBERGLASS COMPONENTS?
There are several benefits for utilizing our fiberglass components, such as our beams, rafters & purlins over other materials like wood or PVC. One of the predominant attributes of our fiberglass beams is the ability to span longer distances than wood or vinyl. Contrary to wood, our fiberglass components possess a high strength-to-weight ratio which keeps them from sagging or drooping under their own weight. And contrary to vinyl, our fiberglass material is unaffected by temperature fluctuations and will not sag or droop in hotter climates.
Essentially, our lightweight fiberglass-reinforced components are stronger than steel. Also, after installation - the components will not twist, warp, or bow and they maintain their full strength for the life of the product.
Another appealing factor to our fiberglass is its ability to hold paint extremely well, and because fiberglass is non-porous the components will not absorb moisture – which is the leading catalyst for cracking and peeling.
